How the Leaderboard Works
Our Scrabble leaderboard tracks results in three ways so players can see both standings and skill levels.
Raw Standings
These are the official league results. Wins, losses, and ties are based on the actual game scores.
Adjusted Standings
To keep games competitive between players of different experience levels, a small handicap may be added to the lower-rated player. These standings show how results look after applying that adjustment.
Elo Ratings
Each player also has an Elo rating that measures overall playing strength. Ratings go up when you win and down when you lose. Upsets against stronger players earn larger rating gains.
Together these systems show both who is winning the league right now and how players are improving over time.
